Welcome to JETS Football.
 It is our goal to teach young men the game of football and the fun and enjoyment it can bring. 

The JETS Football League is a private school league comprised primarily of St. Joseph School, St. John Berchmans School, St. Mark’S Cathedral School, St. Mark’S Episcopal Cathedral, First Baptist School and Southfield School.

This will be the 10th season for the Jets Football program. We are excited about our program. Bill Stewart will be our Director of Football. Bill has been involved with athletics for many years and although new to the Jets this year, will be a great asset to our program. 

We expect the best from our coaches and players, regarding attitude, discipline, and commitment. There are very few sports that require the time and practice that football requires. We ask that all parents respect the coaches’ time and commitment. The board asks that all parents remain off the practice field; please respect this request.
As you know there is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes to run a football program. There are many areas that we need volunteers to help. If you are interested in helping, please contact your coach and let him know or you can contact Bill at

This year in addition to our football program we are proud to introduce our weightlifting program. This program runs year round. Our lifters are coached by John Crofton. They practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 – 6:30. All practices take place at LSUS. For more information on weightlifting you can contact John at

This year we will be utilizing our website for all communications. This website is All communications for practices, games, etc. will be posted on this website. Please check the website daily for any changes or updates made by the coaches. These updates will be posted to the website by 4 pm. 

Again, we are excited about this year and look forward to great things from our coaches and players.

Parent Conduct

Jets Parents,

Following is the YMCA parent code of ethics. Please review and follow. Additionally the board would like to emphasis one thing. All parents need to remain off of the practice field unless specifically requested to aid in a drill by the head coach. We fully understand your desire to be supportive and have any and all questions answered. Questions for coaches should be handled after practice. Prior to practice coaches are generally busy preparing. Also, absolutely no parents on the sidelines during games. The only exception will be if you are a member of the chain crew. The "No Field" policy will be strictly followed with no exceptions.

 YMCA Parents Code of Ethics

I hereby pledge to provide positive support, care, and encouragement for my child while they are participating in YMCA sports by following these ethics.

I will encourage and practice good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, and officials at every game, practice or other YMCA events. Parents are not allowed to ever approach a game official. I will also never insight others to question an official.

  1. I will place the emotional and physical well being of my child ahead of my person desire to win.
  2. I will support coaches and officials working with my child, in order to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience for all. If I have an issuer with my coach I will go directly to them and I will do this discreetly. I will never approach an opposing coach or an official.
  3. I expect a sports environment for my child that is free from drugs, tobacco, alcohol, and vulgar and abusive language, and will refrain from their use at all YMCA sports events.
  4. I will remember that the game is for the children’s fun and enjoyment.
  5. I will teach my child to treat other players, coaches, fans, and officials with respect.
  6. I will help my child enjoy their YMCA experience by doing what ever I can.
  7. I recognize that YMCA sports are competitive and that this may be one of the first times that my child faces a defeat or failure publicly and I will be supportive win or lose.
  8. I recognize that YMCA coaches teach value lessons and that the games will begin in prayer and I will respect the rights of everyone to choose participation in these practices. 

 **Failure to abide by any of these rules could result in my suspension form the YMCA events and/or expulsion form the league for my child or myself.

Please print the last page using the "Send to Printer" button located in the upper right hand corner of the page and include it with your payment.

Include with your payment a copy of the LHSAA Medical History form.

If this is the first year to register with the JETS, a copy of the players birth certificate must be sent as well.

Payment and all paperwork must be submitted prior to the first practice.

All Players must have a completed LHSAA Medical History form prior to the first practice. You can download this form below. 

The cost this year will be as follows: 

$300.00 for 7th and 8th grade.
This includes, use of jersey for the season, end of year gift, and banquet ticket.


$180.00 for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades:
This includes the YMCA registration fee, end of year gift, and banquet ticket.


There is a $25.00 late registration fee.
